We are celebrating the bravery and dedication of a Confederation College Alumni, Syed Ali (Paramedic, 2014)

We are beyond proud to recognize Syed Ali, a 2014 graduate of our Paramedic program, for his bravery and commitment to community service. Syed, along with fellow paramedic Raphaël Désautels, received the King Charles III Coronation Medal and the Ontario Medal for Paramedic Bravery for their courageous actions during a house fire in Atikokan in March 2023.

Their quick response and teamwork helped save a man’s life and rescue a family dog from the smoke-filled home, a true testament to the professionalism and compassion that define our graduates.

Syed shared that it’s a “humbling experience” to be recognized for his role to serve such an incredible and supportive community across the Rainy River District.
