I chose Confederation College because of its strong emphasis on applied learning and community connection. I was drawn to a program that valued real-world experience and practical skill-building. I pursued my program because I wanted meaningful, people-focused work that allowed me to support individuals navigating complex life challenges.
What was the most impactful experience during your time at Confederation College, whether academic, extracurricular, or personal?
The most impactful experience was learning in an environment that encouraged reflection, accountability, and growth. Faculty support and hands-on learning helped me develop confidence in my abilities while also reinforcing the importance of ethics, professionalism, and lifelong learning.
How has your time at Confederation College shaped your journey, both personally and professionally?
My time at Confederation College strengthened my resilience, discipline, and sense of purpose. Professionally, it helped me build a solid foundation in critical thinking, communication, and client-centred work. Personally, it reinforced the value of adaptability and continuous self-development.
What are you up to now?
I am currently working in the mental health field and building my private practice, where I support adults and teenagers through psychotherapy and counselling services. My work focuses on helping individuals navigate stress, addiction, life transitions, and emotional challenges using evidence-based and compassionate approaches.
Is there anything else you'd like to share? Whether it's personal or professional—have you recently bought a house, tied the knot, or received an award? We'd love to hear about it!
I’ve established a private practice and continue to develop my work in mental health. I’m particularly drawn to supporting people navigating major life transitions, including those with diverse cultural backgrounds and those affected by substance use, while remaining committed to ethical and reflective practice.
